Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said he is confident that the team will be able to sign RB Devonta Freeman to a contract extension. Dimitroff said talks between the two sides likely will occur around the start of training camp.
Footballguys View: Dimitroff is confident, and we are too. Earlier reports indicate Freeman wants “elite” money for a running back. That likely puts him around $7-9 million annually. It’s a hefty price to be sure, but Freeman is coming off back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons and worth it. We should see something get done around the time of training camp.
