Free-agent RB Kenjon Barner (Panthers) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons Thursday, March 14. Financial terms were not disclosed.

We should see Devonta Freeman as the top back with Ito Smith as his primary backup. Barner will work on special teams and compete with Brian Hill and Jeremy Langford for a spot on the depth chart behind Freeman and Smith.
