Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan spent six weeks training with former MLB pitcher Tom House and former college pitcher Adam Dedeaux — who have also worked with New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees and Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer, to name a few with — at the acclaimed 3DQB training facility in working to enhance his ability to throw deep. Ryan firmly believes there’s a noticeable difference in his deep ball and WR Julio Jones was the first to say the quarterback’s arm strength is much stronger than it was last year.
Footballguys View: The deep targets are going to be there in a Kyle Shanahan offense. The team should run the ball often to set up play-action passing. We’ll see if any targets outside of WR Julio Jones can come through for Ryan. The team added Mohammed Sanu in free agency earlier this year, but we’re not overly excited by his fantasy potential.
