Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (rest) will not participate in the team’s three-day minicamp, head coach Mike Smith said Tuesday, June 17. ‘We just felt like he needed to get some rest,’ Smith said. ‘He worked with us four days. We wanted to see where he was at. He worked extremely hard, so we’re going to give him some time and let some of these young guys work.’ White was also excused from a majority of OTAs last week following the death of his brother.
Footballguys View: This isn’t comforting, but there’s no reason to overreact to it. White had a high ankle sprain concealed from us during draft season last year and didn’t get healthy until the last third of the season. The good news is that he was elite once again when healthy, so he’s a value at his current fifth round ADP.
