Eastern Illinois QB Jimmy Garoppolo drew most of the attention at Northwestern’s pro day, but I was also impressed by Northwestern receiver Rashad Lawrence’s workout. Lawrence (6-0 7/8, 196 pounds), who did not participate at the combine, looked really good catching passes and was impressive in his drills. His times in the 40-yard dash were 4.50 and 4.53. He posted a vertical leap of 39 inches and a broad jump of 10 feet, 7 inches. He completed the short shuttle in 4.04 seconds and the 3-cone drill in 6.83.
