New York Giants RB David Wilson (neck) underwent neck surgery Thursday, Jan. 16, and said it went well. The team is hopeful Wilson will be able to play next season but are not counting on him to be their starter next season.
Footballguys View: Wilson’s future is certainly up in the air. We’ve seen neck injuries end the careers of guys like Eric Dickerson and Sterling Sharpe, and there’s no guarantee that Wilson will ever be the same again. Dynasty owners need to understand this when considering the value of Wilson going forward. Expect the Giants to address the RB position in the draft or through free agency.
