New York Giants OT Nate Solder is likely to stick around for the 2020 season. The team converted $7.5 million of Solder’s 2019 base salary into a fully guaranteed roster bonus that will count against their salary cap in 2020 and 2021, and the team already has a hole at right tackle, so it’s unlikely they’ll do the same on the other side, too, according to beat writer Jordan Raanan.
Footballguys View: Solder is okay at left tackle but the team could find an upgrade if it was financially responsible. Cutting him would result in $13 million of dead money.
