New York Giants OTs Nate Solder and Andrew Thomas are the leading candidates to start at offensive tackle this upcoming season, but the team is not sure which side they will be used. Solder and Thomas are expected to receive snaps at left tackle and right tackle during training camp.
Footballguys View: Solder is the veteran left tackle who is average to below average as a starter. Thomas is the team’s first-round pick from the 2020 NFL draft and arguably the best tackle prospect in this draft class. Either player could play right or left tackle. We’ll see this competition shake out in training camp with the winner at left tackle in charge of protecting QB Daniel Jones blind side.
