The New York Giants will give QB Ryan Nassib every opportunity to keep the No. 2 quarterback job during offseason workouts and training camp.

Footballguys View: With Josh Freeman getting released, the team is clearly setting Nassib up to win that primary backup job behind Eli Manning. His primary competition for that spot is now veteran Curtis Painter. If Nassib can’t beat out Painter then the Giants are unlikely to carry him as a third quarterback.
