Jacksonville Jaguars WR Shaquelle Evans re-signed Thursday, Sept. 1. WR Tony Washington (hamstring) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list after being waived/injured Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Footballguys View: A fourth-round pick with the Jets in 2014, Evans suffered a shoulder injury and lasted in New York for only a little over a year. He was signed to the Jaguars practice squad for the 2015 season and was kept around with a futures contract for 2016. The Jaguars waived him only a couple of days ago but decided to bring him back with the injury to Washington. Evans is a long shot for the final roster but may be able to stay as a practice squad player again.
