Jaguars | Owner says Maurice Jones-Drew won’t get new deal

Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan said Wednesday, July 25, that RB Maurice Jones-Drew will not get a new contract. ‘There’s no decision here,’ Khan said. ‘It’s his choice. There’s been very little for us to do rather than wait on whatever he might choose to do.’ Jones-Drew has two years remaining on a five-year, $31 million frontloaded deal he signed in 2008. He led the league in rushing last season and believes he is underpaid and wants a new deal.
