Jets | Chris Johnson could be main running back

If New York Jets RB Chris Johnson can prove he’s still an explosive, dynamic and productive running back, he could be in line for most of the workload, according to a source. The New York Jets’ distribution of backfield touches hasn’t been panned out yet. Running backs coach Anthony Lynn said Johnson is ‘definitely going to get the ball’ and has plenty left in the tank.

Footballguys View: No surprise here given his track record. Johnson has the most experience and production in the RB corps. His speed gives the team a unique aspect that Chris Ivory won’t bring to the table. There will likely be some form of split between Johnson and Ivory, but we expect Johnson to receive a majority of the touches in 2014.
