Memphis QB Paxton Lynch’s interest from the New York Jets has cooled, according to sources. Lynch reportedly scored an 18 on the Worderlic test, and there are concerns about his maturity and ability to handle the cerebral nature of the position. The Jets are likely to pass on him at No. 20.
Footballguys View: Lynch has a chance to move up the board because the top two quarterbacks will go 1-2, but if he gets past Cleveland at 8 and Buffalo at 19, the Jets being out might see Lynch fall all the way to Denver at 31 – that is if a team doesn’t trade back into the first round for him. Of course, everything we hear this close to the draft should be taken with a grain of salt.
