New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan benched QB Geno Smith after the first half of the Week 13 game against the Miami Dolphins. Smith completed just four of his 10 passes for 29 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. QB Matt Simms replaced him, completing nine of his 18 pass attempts for 79 yards, no touchdowns and a pick.

Footballguys View: The Geno Smith era is on thin ice, and the Rex Ryan era is not much more stable. The Jets have won five games this year, but they seem like a much worse team than that lately.
