New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said he will stick with QB Geno Smith despite his rough start against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. However, Ryan hinted that Smith needs to improve after turning the ball over a season-high four times against the Titans. Smith is tied for the league lead with 11 turnovers through four games. ‘You can’t buy experience, but with that being said, we still have to do a much better job — Geno, in particular — of protecting the football at all costs,’ Ryan said, ‘You can’t be nonchalant about it, you have to protect the ball.’ QBs Matt Simms and Brady Quinn are the other options, and Simms has zero NFL experience.
