New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez worked exclusively with the first-team offense in practice Tuesday, June 11. He completed four of his eight pass attempts, missing the final four, and took a sack in seven-on-seven drills. Jets rookie QB Geno Smith went 4-for-7 and was sacked three times while working with the second-string offense.
Our View: Sanchez wants to get his swagger back and win the starting job in training camp. Both he and Smith have been struggling this offseason and this battle may last well into August. Even if Sanchez wins the starting job to begin the year the presence of Smith may mean a short hook for the veteran.
