Updating an ongoing story, free-agent QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (Jets) is believed to be close to ending his impasse with the New York Jets, according to some that know him well.

Footballguys View: Training camps are kicking off all around the NFL, so it’s time to get back to work. Fitzpatrick may have overvalued his position earlier this offseason when guys like Sam Bradford (Eagles) and Brock Osweiler (Texans) were getting paid. Now, he’s likely to accept a much lower offer than originally expected just to play football. It’s worth noting that other reports indicate there is no end in sight….sigh…we guess the drama continues.
