New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (illness) will practice Wednesday, Oct. 2, and head coach Adam Gase deemed Darnold day to day.

Footballguys View: Darnold has yet to be cleared for contact but he’s pushing to get back out there in Week 5. The Jets aren’t going anywhere this season and need to be cautious with their franchise quarterback. If Darnold can’t play on the road against the Eagles, Luke Falk would get another start at quarterback.
