New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes (foot) is back on the active roster, but he said Tuesday, Aug. 27, that he is not 100 percent, and did not offer any indication as to whether he will be available for the regular season opener Sept. 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. ‘I have a long career ahead of me, so I’m going to take the best risk and the best chances for myself and for the team,’ Holmes said. He participated in practice on a limited basis Tuesday, and has only cut and run routes prior to the preseason game against the New York Giants, and no other times since his return.
