New York Jets WR Santonio Holmes (foot) spoke to the media recently, shedding light on his Lisfranc foot injury. Holmes said his foot injury was diagnosed as a Grade 4 injury (the most serious kind), meaning a muscle tear and joint separation in his mid-foot. He had screws and a plate removed in a March surgical procedure, but he will have two screws in the foot permanently. Holmes said his ‘target date’ is the first day of training camp.
