New York Jets general manager John Idzik said the team plans to look at quarterbacks in the offseason even though QB Geno Smith started every game this year and improved late in the season. Head coach Rex Ryan stopped short of saying Smith would be the starter heading into training camp next year. ‘We’re all excited about having Geno as part of the New York Jets,’ Idzik said, ‘but we will always look to improve any position.’ Smith said he has a ‘bright future’ with the team despite finishing with a league-low passer rating of 66.5 in his rookie season.
