Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson is happy to be healthy and back on the practice field after injuries to his knee and finger prevented him from doing so late last season. ‘It feels great to be out here playing with the guys,’ Johnson said Tuesday, June 10. ‘I missed a lot of practice time last year before games. You definitely feel like you need that practice time before a game, just to get on one accord with your quarterback.’
Footballguys View: A healthy Megatron is a dangerous threat. Even when he’s banged up, Johnson is one of the best receivers in the game. In the new offense ran by OC Joe Lombardi, we should see Johnson stay planted as a top-5 (likely number one) fantasy receiver.
