The Detroit Lions could select Alabama CB Dee Milliner (shoulder) with the fifth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, as they have a need at cornerback. Milliner, who will have surgery to repair a torn labrum, put off the surgery until after the NFL Scouting Combine so he could solidify his position as the draft’s top cornerback. If Milliner were the pick, he could conceivably start from Day One if the team does not re-sign impending free-agent CB Chris Houston or go for another cornerback in free agency.
