Free-agent QB Tom Savage (Bengals) was signed to an undisclosed deal by the Detroit Lions Tuesday, April 9.

Footballguys View: Savage will compete with Connor Cook to be the primary backup to Matthew Stafford in 2019. Don’t be surprised if the Lions add a quarterback to the mix at some point (mid rounds?) in the 2019 NFL draft.
