Detroit Lions RB Ameer Abdullah wants to be the every-down back, but head coach Jim Caldwell indicated Tuesday, Aug. 30, he will keep his running-back-by-committee approach, meaning plenty of reps could be in the offing for RBs Theo Riddick, Zach Zenner and Dwayne Washington, in that order. ‘I think you have to spread it out a little bit,’ Caldwell said.
