Lions | Expected to add Dan Orlovsky

The Detroit Lions are expected to sign free-agent QB Dan Orlovsky (Buccaneers).

Footballguys View: The team lost Shaun Hill (Rams) in free agency, so they need a veteran backup behind Matthew Stafford. Orlovsky began his pro career with the Lions when he was a fifth-round pick in 2005. He played in Detroit for three seasons before moving on. Their interest in Orlovsky shows that third-string QB Kellen Moore hasn’t made the necessary improvements to his game.
