NFL | Johnny Manziel headed to Canada

Free-agent QB Johnny Manziel (Browns) has announced that he will be signing with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League. He is scheduled to receive a two-year contract, according to a source.

Footballguys View: Manziel’s comeback tour now head up North, and it will be interesting to see what kind of play he can provide up in Canada. A first-round pick of the Browns in 2014, Manziel failed to make it in the NFL due to off-field issues. He seems to have his life back on track but won’t get a ticket back to the NFL just yet. If he performs well for the Tiger-Cats (and stays out of trouble) then perhaps there will be a team that takes a chance on Manziel in the NFL once again.
