NFL | Johnny Manziel lacks pocket discipline

Former NFL media analyst and former Houston Texans and Washington Redskins personnel executive Charley Casserly is worried that Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel lacks the pocket discipline to succeed in the NFL. Manziel often times tucked the ball and ran from the pocket when he had receivers open down the field. ‘When you watch tape on this guy, there are times I’m not sure what this guy sees. You’ve got guys wide open and, boom, he takes off and runs,’ Casserly said. ‘He may be a victim of his (own) ability to make plays running the football, so he doesn’t stay in the pocket. I’d want to watch tape with him, what are you seeing, why are you running when you don’t have to run?’
