Free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Seahawks) said he believes he can still contribute to a team at 40 years old but understands he likely will not receive any interest from teams. Owens said he does not understand how players that have off-field problems can get second chances while he does not get a second chance even though he has not had off-field issues. ‘You look at some of the stuff guys are doing now, domestic violence, players killing players, just everything,’ Owens said. ‘You have so many guys with off-the-field problems, drug issues, alcohol problems and they’re still given second chances and third chances. They’re putting them in rehab and keeping them on the team. I never had those issues. It’s disappointing.’
