Pittsburgh QB Tom Savage will have either worked out for or met with 24 or 25 teams by the time the deadline passes for teams to meet with prospects. Neil Schwartz, agent for Savage, has told two teams interested in meeting with Savage that there are no days free for Savage to visit.
Footballguys View: There are some who think Savage will be a second-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft. He’s a big pocket passer who can fire passes all over the field. The problem is, he couldn’t hang onto the job at Rutgers and had to transfer to two different schools before finding a home at PITT. Savage has a big arm, but he lacks the ability to extend plays and his accuracy struggles when he has to move.
