The Green Bay Packers will release LB Desmond Bishop.
Our View: The two sides couldn’t agree on a paycut so Bishop hits the open market. He missed all of 2012 with a hamstring injury and will need to prove that he’s healthy before latching on with a new team. Bishop can make plays when at full strength and is now one of the best players available in free agency. A team like the Chiefs could be interested. In Kansas City he would be reunited with new GM (and former Packers executive) John Dorsey. The Raiders could also have interest in Bishop.
