Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (ankle) is not expected to be limited by his ankle injury in the Wild Card game against the San Francisco 49ers this weekend. ‘He’s a totally different back. It’s night and day,’ WR James Jones said when comparing Lacy to earlier this season. ‘Way more comfortable, way more confident. They’ll have to account for him. I know by them watching film and seeing what he’s done during the season, they know he’s not the same player he was Week 1. It’s good for us to have him in the position he is now.’
Footballguys View: Lacy has played through minor injuries before. He’ll be used as a battering ram to help soften up the 49ers defense. Having Lacy running strong between the tackles will move the safeties closer to the line of scrimmage. This will help Aaron Rodgers go over the top when the time is right.
