The Green Bay Packers will release RB Johnathan Franklin (neck) with the waived/injured designation Friday, June 20, according to his agent, Kenny Zuckerman. It’s unknown if Franklin is dealing with stenosis, which is a narrowing of the spinal column that makes a person susceptible to neck injuries.
Footballguys View: He’ll get an injury settlement and move on. Unlike Nick Collins or Jermichael Finley, we don’t expect him to try and fight for a comeback. We hope the Packers can help in his transition and wish him the best of luck in the next phase of his life.
