The Green Bay Packers view an extension with WR Jordy Nelson as a priority over one for WR Randall Cobb, according to a person with knowledge of the team’s plans. Nelson has a year and $2.5 million left on his deal. Cobb has expressed that he’d like to remain in Green Bay.

Footballguys View: It would be great if the Packers could find a way to keep both around for some time. Both Nelson and Cobb have dealt with injury issues during their pro careers. That will impact the numbers both receive on their next contract.
