Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton is absent from organized team activities Tuesday, May 28, in what has been deemed a personal day.

Footballguys View: Just a personal day means no big deal here. Newton underwent shoulder surgery in January and wants to resume throwing before training camp. He has suffered no setbacks during his recovery but the Panthers are wisely being safe during his return.
