Panthers | Julius Peppers could return to Carolina

Impending free-agent LB Julius Peppers could be an option to return to the Carolina Panthers, where he spent the first eight years of his career, according to the Charlotte Observer’s Scott Fowler.

Footballguys View: Peppers began his career with the Panthers as the no.2 overall pick in the 2002 NFL draft. He spent eight seasons there before moving on to the Bears then to the Packers. Entering his age-37 season, Peppers has to be considering retirement. However, if he wants to keep playing then going back to Carolina makes sense. We’ll see if he’d sign a team-friendly deal to go back where it all started.
