Carolina Panthers DT Kawann Short reported to training camp Wednesday, July 27, despite a contract dispute.

Footballguys View: Short was at the facility for mandatory minicamp earlier this offseason, so it makes sense that he would also show up when training camp starts. He wants a new long-term deal that could make him one of the highest-paid DTs in the league. The Panthers don’t seem willing to do that right now, so we could see the franchise tag used on Short next offseason.
