Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton (shoulder) will not throw during the minicamp this week, according to head coach Ron Rivera.

Footballguys View: The team has been encouraged by Newton’s recovery from shoulder surgery. They’ll work him at minicamp without throwing so they can have him ready to go for training camp.
