Panthers | Surgery for Cam Newton

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton (shoulder) had arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder Thursday, Jan. 24.

Footballguys View: Newton was beat up in the 2018 season and missed two games as a result. Some speculate that Newton may need to take a year off to truly get healthy but a timetable for his return was not disclosed. This surgery was minor so now reports speculate that he’ll be ready for the 2019 season. We’ll know more about his status as his recovery rolls on.
