New England Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio reportedly ‘wants out’ of New England and wants to become the general manager of the Houston Texans, according to Ben Volin of the Boston Globe. According to Volin, Caserio would have simply turned down the Texans’ offer to become their general manager if he didn’t want the job, forcing the Patriots to enforce a clause in his contract and file tampering charges to get Houston to back off. Caserio’s contract reportedly runs through the 2020 NFL Draft.
