New England Patriots RB Stevan Ridley has been carrying the load early on in training camp, seeing first-team reps. The situation at running back hasn’t been clearly defined, but Ridley saw the most snaps as the No. 1 back Friday, July 27. RB Shane Vereen also saw some first-team reps late in practice, and the battle for the starting job is expected to primarily be between those two players.

Our View: Ridley is the battering ram, while Vereen is better used as a change of pace back. Don’t forget about Danny Woodhead here either. The Patriots RB situation is a messy one for fantasy owners.
