New England Patriots DT Vince Wilfork (Achilles’) underwent surgery on his torn right Achilles’ Tuesday, Oct. 1, and he’s likely to be placed on season-ending Injured Reserve. ‘It doesn’t look too good for Vince,’ head coach Bill Belichick said. ‘I think he’s got a pretty serious injury, and it’s probably unlikely that he’ll be able to play again this year.’
