The Oakland Raiders are not expected to place the franchise tag on impending free-agent OT Jared Veldheer, but there still is a small chance that they do.

Footballguys View: Veldheer is one of the best young left tackles in the game today when he’s healthy. The team is wanting to work out a new long-term deal with him. Tagging him as a franchise player would extend the amount of time they have to reach that deal.
