St. Louis Rams RB Daryl Richardson (foot) practiced on a limited basis Monday, Sept. 23, and he expects to play in Week 4 versus the San Francisco 49ers Thursday, Sept. 26. He leads the team with 30 carries and 98 yards in three weeks despite playing just two snaps in Week 3 before aggravating his injury.
Footballguys View: Richardson is the lead back if he plays on Thursday against the 49ers. He’s the most explosive back on the roster and can change direction without losing much speed. Some are painting the picture of Isaiah Pead being some sort of answer at the RB position but that may not be the case. Pead really didn’t get involved in Week 3 until the game was well out of hand. We saw Benny Cunningham get on the field before Pead did. If Richardson plays he’s a low end flex play on Thursday night.
