The St. Louis Rams reportedly knew about Pead’s impending one-game suspension for months but still have high expectations for the 2012 second-round pick.
Our View: Pead will miss the first game of the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He can still practice with the team this offseason, through training camp and the preseason. Pead is competing with Daryl Richardson and rookie Zac Stacy (Vanderbilt) to be the team’s starting RB in 2013.
