Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens RB Trent Richardson (hamstring) missed the entire first week of organized team activities after he tweaked his hamstring, and head coach John Harbaugh said Richardson must get healthy. Richardson has struggled with injuries and conditioning in his three-year career, averaging only 3.3 yards per carry. He needs a strong offseason and training camp in order to win a spot on the roster.
Footballguys View: Sometimes the headlines can be written months in advance. Richardson is down with a hamstring injury, and that comes back directly to his conditioning. He’s fallen out of favor with multiple teams due to conditioning problems and issues (obviously) with motivation. Richardson’s career will likely end as a cautionary “what might have been” tale.
