Redskins | Believe Lache Seastrunk can catch passes

Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said the team believes RB Lache Seastrunk can be a good receiver out of the backfield even though Seastrunk only caught six passes in his last two years in college. ‘We feel like he can catch the ball good enough,’ Gruden said. ‘We saw him at the pro days, obviously, and at the combine. He caught the ball fine and obviously Robert knows him and we did our work on him.’

Footballguys View: Seastrunk had more drops (10) than he did receptions (9) during his college career. He’s incredibly fast and elusive in the open field. If he can learn how to catch, then Washington will have one dangerous weapon in the backfield to play a complementary role behind Alfred Morris.
