Redskins | Steven Sims plans for bigger role in 2020

Washington Redskins WR Steven Sims said he has been training this offseason to ‘play maybe 90 plays in a game’ and is eyeing a bigger and more versatile role in the offense. ‘I want to show that I can run routes as well. I’m not just a gadget player. I’m a receiver, and I run routes,’ Sims said.

Footballguys View: We’ll keep an eye on Sims in deep dynasty formats. Undrafted out of Kansas in 2019, Sims flashed for Washington…especially near the end of the season. Over the final four games of his rookie year, Sims snared 20 passes for 230 yards and four touchdowns. Washington added WR Antonio Gandy-Golden and RB/WR Antonio Gibson in the 2020 NFL draft, so we’ll see how Sims responds to more competition in 2020.
