New Orleans Saints FS Jairus Byrd (knee) was able to pass his physical when he reported for training camp, according to head coach Sean Payton.

His time with New Orleans has been marred by this knee problem, and Byrd has appeared in only 17 of a possible 32 contests with the Saints. The 29-year old needs to stay healthy and start producing like he did years ago when he was with the Bills.
