New Orleans Saints WR Marques Colston (undisclosed) was cut with a failed physical designation Monday, Feb. 29.
Footballguys View: A sad day indeed. Colston was a seventh-round pick out of Hofstra in 2006, and we felt he could finish his career with the Saints. The move to cut him frees up $3.2 million in cap space for the Saints. We’ll see if he can latch on with another team as veteran depth. Fantasy owners should expect little from Colston if he does sign somewhere else. This move also spikes Brandon Coleman’s dynasty value as he’ll be tasked with being the team’s big slot receiver in Colston’s absence.
